Literacy listening activities in Infants
In Senior Infants, we have been developing our listening and oral language skills through a range of fun and engaging listening activities. Some of the activities involved the teacher giving a series of verbal instructions while the children listened carefully and used their whiteboards to draw what they heard. The children had to focus closely on key details and follow directions step by step. At the end of the activity, we compared our drawings and discussed how everyone interpreted the instructions differently. The children enjoyed seeing how each picture was unique and it encouraged great conversation about listening carefully, expressing ideas, and respecting different perspectives.
